Calling All Doctors
I feel weightless despite how fast I'm falling to Earth
Heading back to ground level - I left so long ago
I was once caught by the clouds and lifted high above
In the shape of arms and lips; I kissed the sun
Not burned by the taste I changed my shape and smiled
My guard and shield cast aside in my dreams
A reality that I let go unchecked and unrestrained
When then it all came back to me in full force
Thrown like venom from the hidden snake's bite
I was twisting my body about facing the dirt
Skydiving towards an earthquake - I felt my heart break
May it all be over so soon
I feel faceless now even though your fingers trace it
A future predicted cleanly out of slim doubt
I can't embrace it - the fact that I'm falling
Now that I know you might not be there to catch me
Turns out I was burned with a cancer
With little symptoms at first, appearing dimly at the surface
A rollercoaster of confidence with a large drop
Spinning me upside-down with a force so strong
A hunger, no longer satisfied, spits its acid inside
And my body, once so pampered, now sits tossed aside
Skydiving towards an earthquake - I felt my heart break
May it all be over so soon
How to breathe with a head so hollow
How to teach love with a heart so shallow
How it feels to wait for the conviction
Is a pain not worth sensing at all
Now I feel faithless despite the bond not being broken
Hand in hand with the killer
In just one bullet from now I'll be left
The only one left to remember falling
She took a deep breath before relinquishing her fears
Before telling me that nothing lasts for years
Skydiving towards an earthquake - I felt my heart break
May it all be over so soon
Heading back to ground level - I left so long ago
I was once caught by the clouds and lifted high above
