Nothing can stop us

I can feel you dreamin' of me

Name:
Location: Detroit, Michigan, United States

I never much liked the flaps over zippers, needles, ovens, lawn mowers, or swimming. I love my Les Paul, and every song I've written with or without it.

Sands of Time

She spoke words like remedies
Dust in the wind
And pointed out to me
Love is not a round-trip ticket
Of love comes a dancing glory
Hung up on details
Swirling the possibilities
A macabre of self-impression
She dreamt of spaces between lines
Her eloquence so graceful as poetry
Spoken from a rhythmbox of finesse
Both of us hidden in the fallen leaves
Brought together in a parallel universe
Eyes shaped like stars
Her intentions were clear
As in perfectly refined symmetry
A simple task and fate shared with me
Like a shattered, cancerous note
It rang out screaming in the air
My god I've been hit like a drum
To the barrel of a gun
Innocence proclaimed and sketched into darkness
On a cold horizon stands the sands of time
Trickeling into your hands
As you placed them in mine
Whispering once again into my ears
"My love, beauty is shattered tranquility"
We both broke down and cried
Staring down at us was a river filled with blood
My hopes and passions fleeing like moths
Unfolding before me in a desperate way
Carving into the dust
A hopeless cynic left for death
Cities built with the bones of our children
When I wish upon the stars in her eyes
I gaze into the unknown
Hiding all alone, in her arms
Basking in the embers of satire
We reach our destiny in remorse
Turn and face regrets, reborn and alive
Very much so alive, you see
The sands of time have come back for us
Like cinders flailing in black holes
Dismiss the patterns for coincidence
Breathing in the ashes of the weak
