Liberty

He thinks first that the scene
Lends not to suspense
But instead to the defense
Of what is rightfully obscene
And while it may be routine
To let men go under pretense
Fully to the expense
Of life and liberty
The chances are in line
That change does not come quick
And injuries to the spine
Of justice probably still stick
So sadly we resign ourselves
To the logic of the sick
